James E.
Traester specializes in
auditing, management services, and third-party reimbursement
regulations. He has held the positions of assistant
controller and chief accountant in a manufacturing firm and
a not-for-profit retail cooperative. Mr. Traester has served
as an adjunct faculty member at Southern Connecticut State
University, is a frequent lecturer and has served as an
expert witness and consultant to various organizations and
regulatory agencies. He is also a consultant to the
Connecticut Association of Non-Profits and is active in
local civic organizations.
Mr. Traester is a graduate of Providence College with a
double major in accounting and business administration and
holds a master's degree in accounting and taxation from
Quinnipiac University. He is a Certified Public Accountant
in the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts and
Pennsylvania. Mr. Traester is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the
Connecticut Society of CPAs - serving on their Technical
Committee on Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards
for many years.
